Single tier
Two tier

Three tier
- Pay one copay for covered brand-name drug
- There's a lower copay for covered generic drugs
- Pay one copay for generic and brand-name drugs that aren't on the Preferred Drug List
- There's a lower copay for brand-name drugs on the Preferred Drug List
- The lowest copay applies to generic drugs on the Preferred Drug List
Note for seniors: Despite its flaws, the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan is a good option for some seniors to help them save money on prescription drug costs. While you missed the deadline for 2006, you can still enroll if you don't mind paying a penalty.
